If you're looking for the best, most comprehensive library of live hi-hat sounds then look no further. Soulsounds Live Hi-Hats contains over 200 loops ranging from 70-160bpm, and over 650 one-shots with multiple tones at a variety of velocity levels. We extensively sampled 5 different hi-hats, and recorded on high-quality microphones through an analog mixing desk in White Camel Studios Berlin.

Each hi-hat has closed and open hits, edge and tip stick hits, at 10 different velocities played from soft to hard, with 5 variations of tone for each velocity. This is the ultimate collection to add an organic, groovy live hi-hat touch to your music.

1 - Zildjian K 13” > A bright, light, sizzling tone that mixes in effortlessly with any drum groove. Present, but not taking up too much space in the mix - leaving room for the other elements of the track. A dream to mix.

2 - Istanbul > Also has a nice and bright colour, but with a slightly grittier tone. If you want your hats dirty but still bright and light, the Istanbul is the place to start.

3 - Zildjian K 13" chains & screws > we added metal chains and screws to the hi-hat setup and tweaked the mixing desk so there's a little more low end and character to this Zildjian hat.

4 - Mehmet 14" Traditional > The bigger-sized hi-hat means a fuller and more weighty sound. The Mehmet has a slightly darker character, but still with a nice metallic and crisp sound.

5 - Paiste PSTx 14" > A heavy, dirty, gritty and more washy tone. If you're after that Chris Dave washy type of sound then the Paiste is what you're looking for.
