Introducing Matt Snowden - 'Breaks & Beats', Loopmasters' latest drum sample collection, perfect for genres like funk, soul, neo-soul, trip-hop, hip-hop, and drum and bass. Matt, an accomplished drummer and engineer, has worked with renowned artists and labels including Amy Winehouse, Pete Townshend, Mute Records, Universal, and Sony BMG. These samples were recorded at the renowned Ford Lane Studios in Sussex.
'Breaks & Beats' offers drum loops at tempos of 85, 100, 120, and 170 BPM, with two different snare options. The kit includes Yamaha and DW drums, Zildjian K and A Custom cymbals, captured using a blend of modern and vintage microphones, such as Coles 4038 ribbon mics. Preamps include Neve 1073s, paired with Amek and SSL G series EQs, and the drums were mixed using Zulu passive tape compression and subtle EMT plate reverb. While these drums come with a tasteful amount of saturation and compression, there's plenty of room to process them further to suit your production needs.
In detail, this pack includes 254 MB of 24-bit, 44.1kHz WAV files, featuring 88 funk drum breaks, 38 hip-hop drum breaks, 12 neo-soul drum breaks, 11 classic drum breaks, 11 drum & bass breaks, 8 disco drum breaks, 8 trip-hop breaks, 6 halftime breaks, and 2 Afrobeat breaks.
